About Fiona
Many people come to therapy feeling like they should be coping better than they are. On the outside, things may look fine, but inside there can be a sense of overwhelm, exhaustion or something not quite feeling right.
I’m Fiona, an integrative therapist offering counselling in Uxbridge, surrounding areas and online. I offer a calm, reflective space to help you understand these patterns and gently explore how your past experiences may still be shaping your present.

My background
My counselling journey began with a deep curiosity about human behaviour and a heartfelt passion for supporting others as they navigate life’s challenges and complexities.
I hold BACP-accredited qualifications in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy and have experience working with clients facing a range of difficulties, including relationship difficulties, domestic and emotional abuse, gender-based violence, grief, anxiety, trauma and wider mental health challenges.
I am also committed to ongoing professional development and am a member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).
How I work
My work is integrative, which means I draw from different therapeutic approaches depending on your individual needs and what feels most helpful for you. I take a mind-body approach to therapy, recognising the connection between your thoughts, emotions and physical responses. Alongside psychodynamic thinking, I incorporate an understanding of the nervous system, including polyvagal-informed approaches, helping us explore how your system has learned to respond to stress, anxiety and trauma.
I work particularly well with clients who may appear to be coping outwardly while feeling overwhelmed, stuck or emotionally exhausted underneath. This can include anxiety, relational trauma, burnout, masking and the effects of feeling responsible for holding everything together. Where helpful, I may also introduce grounding techniques, as well as elements of CBT and solution-focused therapy, to support you in managing day-to-day challenges alongside deeper therapeutic work.
I value the therapeutic relationship and aim to create a space that feels compassionate, empathetic and non-judgemental. I strive to tailor my approach to meet your unique needs, working at a pace that feels right for you.
