Anxiety Counselling in Uxbridge, Hillingdon and Online

Anxiety can feel exhausting in ways that are not always obvious to other people. You might seem calm, capable and in control on the outside while inwardly feeling tense, overwhelmed or unable to switch off.

For some people, anxiety shows up as constant overthinking, racing thoughts or always expecting something to go wrong. For others, it feels more like emotional pressure, difficulty relaxing, people pleasing or always trying to stay one step ahead.

When anxiety starts to take over

You might notice yourself:

  • replaying conversations in your mind

  • overthinking decisions

  • struggling to switch off

  • feeling on edge or emotionally drained

  • finding it hard to rest without guilt

  • carrying a constant sense of worry or pressure

For many high-functioning clients, anxiety can be easy to miss from the outside. You may still be going to work, supporting others and keeping things together, while feeling exhausted underneath.

How therapy can help

Therapy can help you explore what may be sitting beneath your anxiety, understand the patterns that keep it going and respond to yourself with more steadiness and less self-pressure. I offer anxiety counselling in Uxbridge, with support for clients in Gerrards Cross, Chalfont St Peter and across the wider Hillingdon area, as well as online.
