Trauma Therapy in Uxbridge, Hillingdon and Online

Trauma can affect the way you feel, cope and relate to the world around you, even long after difficult experiences have passed. Sometimes it is linked to a specific event and sometimes it grows out of repeated experiences of feeling unsafe, unsupported, unseen or emotionally overwhelmed over time.

You may find yourself stuck in survival mode, always bracing for something, shutting down emotionally, or repeating patterns in relationships that leave you feeling anxious, drained or disconnected.

When past experiences still affect the present

You might notice yourself:

  • feeling constantly alert or on edge

  • becoming overwhelmed by emotion or stress

  • shutting down or going numb

  • struggling with trust or safety in relationships

  • feeling disconnected from yourself

  • repeating patterns that leave you feeling stuck

These responses can be the mind and body’s way of trying to keep you safe, even if they no longer feel helpful.

How therapy can help

Therapy can offer a safe, supportive space to gently explore the impact of past experiences at a pace that feels right for you. With greater understanding, it can become possible to feel more grounded, more connected and less shaped by survival responses. I offer trauma therapy in Uxbridge, with support for clients in Gerrards Cross, Chalfont St Peter and across the wider Hillingdon area, as well as online.
